Art With A Purpose
The "Art With a Purpose" project, which resulted in a little book, was designed for Crestview children to explore ways of expressing themselves, to see life from different angles, and to realize that art and beauty are all around them.
While painting, drawing, music and writing are the immediate results of the Crestview children's creative efforts, we are also privileged to see this art project as a catalyst in encouraging children to communicate and express themselves in new ways. Our Crestview children's program strives to improve the well-being of each child, and in a loving, supportive environment children receive support and guidance from the art instructor. I have been fortunate enough to see how much this creative opportunity has enhanced and renewed their sense of self-confidence, accomplishment, hope, and purpose. Our hope is to continue to provide these children and families with opportunities to be creative and build a stronger community for their future. Our Crestview children are more than survivors: they are future successful adults who will give back to society
